In June 2004 we decided to release our first demo “War of worlds” in order to experience the whole procedure of recording (recorded live in the studio) and the whole process in general. We continued to run the group for about a year, we had some suggestions for live shows but they were never materialized.
In the summer of 2006 we decided to dissolve the group due to many professional obligations that did not leave us the time we wanted to dedicate to it. All this time we were inactive, there were some thoughts of us regarding a reunion, but due to professional and family commitments we did not succeed.
On April 12 of 2015, a tragic event happened which stigmatized us and will stigmatize the lives of us all forever. Lefteris passed away at the age of 31.
In 2018, three years after his loss, three of the founding members of the group decided to activate Echelon again with our sole purpose to honor the memory of Lefteris. The beginning was made with the release of our first EP “LIBEWAR”. It should be noted that in this effort we received help from two very good friends Kotsis Theodoros and Samartzi Konstantina, both with their participation in the EP and in other areas as well.
The very positive reviews of the EP and the whole general atmosphere led us to continue and become a full line-up group, so we proceeded to staff the band with two very good musicians Nikos Sourianos on bass and Irene Agathou on vocals. With this line-up the band performed the first live at the Corfu Scout facilities in front of 300 people, a live which was dedicated to Lefteris and was performed with great success. In the same year, we took part as headliners at the 7th Offensive Festival.
At the beginning of 2020, our bassist Nikos Sourianos left the band for family and professional reasons. The position of bassist was immediately filled by another very good musician Max Miller and with our new line-up we gave another very successful and sold out live at Graal Club
On December 15 of 2021 we signed our first contract with "Sleaszy Rider Records" for our first album "Secret Power" which is expected to be released at the end of 2021.
The new album is being recorded with a small change in the line-up, since our bassist Max Miller left the band for personal reasons in October 2020.
